The Countess Lene Thun Foundation NPO is committed to the realisation of "recreational therapy" projects through modelling of ceramics. Operating in various pathological contexts, especially in the paediatric and juvenile age in hospitals, has become a tangible psychological support during the period of illness.
To date, the largest project undertaken by the Foundation consists in setting up stable laboratories to support children who are long-term patients in hospitals which, thanks to the modelling of ceramics, provide valuable support during their period of illness. In 2016 the Foundation reached 12 active permanent laboratories, mainly in paediatric oncology and haematology departments.
